The first of this kind Finance World Expo took place in Zug this week. It focused particularly on broad range of payment solutions available on the market. If you are interested in the newest blockchain and non-blockchain related products coming up to the market you may want to check the below projects that were presented during the event in Crypto Valley .
Marjan Delatinne represented Ripple as a global head of Banking. She introduced the newest ripple’s achievements and their way of embracing this challenging mission of making payments more accessible, less costly and transparent. It’s great to see woman managing so meaningful project and successfully leading the ripple’s global business.
Some of you, or rather most of you heard about ripple and its place on the market and one of the first blockchain adopters.
They’ve grown already twice much in the size since 2017 and have a lot well recognised business partners and clients.
Ripple focus on financial inclusion and work hard to simplify the financial transaction. So simple transaction as payments should be easy, short, accessible and they should not generate so much costs, multiple accounts and few days until the money reaches the recipients’ hands. Payments world has to be democratise and the change is already happening.
Using blockchain they resolve almost all of the currently existing odds. What happen is that we will end up with multiple blockchain but we cannot allow ending up with fragmented network again.
Dash was represented by Robert Wiecko, COO at Dash Core Group Inc.
Dash is a digital money, an alternative to the existing payment method. It’s for individuals and for business. You can pay for coffee, buy a plane ticket, or pay your bill. Dash is growing and is accepted by new businesses every day. Transaction speed is 1 second and the payment volume in Q4 2018 was more than a billion dollars with more than 48,200 transactions processed per day.
It’s really impressive numbers and the growth rate is rapidly increasing. The solution is instant, secure and the cost per transfer is less than a penny.
Vontobel, represented by Thomas Stadle, Head Distribution Switzerland, Platform Solutions at Vontobel. He showed up with the new but already deeply implemented solution – Deritrade. It’s a platform for trading structured products that does not use blockchain technology but simplify the process. It’s used already by many recognised financial entities and they have more than 5 thousand users registered.
I also enjoyed ‘Crowdfunding, token, marketplace’ run by Mauro Andriotto, Founder and president of Andriotto Financial Services and well as “Innovative and modern ways of funding for ambitious companies” by Sven-Roger von Schilling, CEO at SVS CAPITAL PARTNERS. Feel free to check out theirs profiles and companies they manage. Great topics to get familiar with and long years of experience on the financial market.
