Female founders! That’s my great focus since recently. It’s so amazing environment full of positive energy, great passion as well as hard work towards making the idea flourish and putting the first mark on the new market.
Thera are more and more initiatives supporting women coming up and that’s awesome! We need more people who encourage others to step out of the crowd and show their passion, idealistic idea that either aim to improve daily life or revolutionise the way we live. It’s so inspiring but also not-surprisingly really ambitious and advanced business environment. It’s not about chatting to each other but about taking real action, rolling the sleeves up and working after hours to progress with the business.
This week happened to be full of interesting, startup related events and I couldn’t miss one of them which was Nextgen Women Entrepreneurship Week. It’s astonishing initiative that enable women from developing countries to join the program, entirely focus for a few days on working on their ideas.
At the end, it’s not about investing in women, it’s about investing in an idea which has no gender biases but pure market potential.
During the week, several growth-oriented women entrepreneurs from Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Peru and Vietnam worked with mentors and investors to bring their ventures to the next level.
The end of this extremely active and creative week was celebrated with the final pitches. There were well known personalities sitting on the jury sits helping early founders to progress with their businesses and get investors for the startups cross-boarder development. Jury names: Susanne Grossmann , Christian Winkler , Katka Letzing , Sophie Neuhut , Barbara Fischer.
Only 6(out of 22) most promising female founders qualified to the final round so if you are curious who it was and what kind of business they represented, keep reading 🙂
